Mid America Bank was chartered on January 3, 1910, as the Footville State Bank, located in the Village of Footville in Rock County, Wisconsin. It faithfully served Footville and the surrounding community for eight decades. Eventually, however, the bank identified an opportunity to serve a broader population in Rock County.
First, in September of 1989, the Footville State Bank was renamed Mid America Bank. Then, in May of the following year, it opened a full service branch office ten miles east in Janesville, Rock County's largest city. Mid America Bank opened yet another full service branch office in January, 1999, in nearby Williams Bay.
Today, this community-owned bank reports consistent growth in assets, approximately 6% per year. Its owners are lifelong bankers with experience working in some of Milwaukee’s most reputable financial institutions. They combine the best principles they learned throughout their careers with a powerful desire to truly serve their neighbors.
So Mid America Bank proudly stands as an alternative to the big banks and their bad practices that have dominated the discourse in recent years. It’s a personal bank and it’s a business bank. It’s a local bank and it’s an online bank. It’s your independent community bank. Mid America Bank truly is banking better.
